Yes, I know. I do like it though. It even spins..
"it is difficult to leave the shop empty handed!"
Hi! I’m Claire. Based in the Black Country, UK.
Mrs Bear to TheRetroBear.
I gained electrical & electronics qualifications a long time ago in a career I quite enjoyed at the time, but left after 13 years to do something more “normal”, for whatever that means.
Living with a retro collector, with (if you’re reading this you’ll know what I mean) an endless supply of 1980s micro computers and retro consoles needing repairs and their capacitors replaced, led to a chance collaboration with our good friends at Hidden Chest Gaming
You can avoid having to ship your retro computers and consoles in the post by dropping them in at Hidden Chest, and can collect them from there too when the work is done.
It is well worth a look around while you’re there. Speaking from experience, it is difficult to leave the shop empty handed!
A workshop now..
Latterly a place to store all the stuff-that-doesn’t-have-a-home. Then it became an untidy dining room, then a tidy but unused dining room.
Now home to a Commodore C64, ZX Spectrum, BBC model B, Acorn Electron and CPC464 retro gaming desk and a full blown electronics workshop.
I know what you’re thinking, and the answer is Trays, on our laps.
